#LASD Palmdale Station Investigators Arrest Attempt Murder Suspect

On Monday, June 22, 2026, Palmdale Station deputies responded to a vehicle‑versus‑pedestrian collision near 6th Street East and Avenue Q‑12 in Palmdale. Deputy Barrios and Detective Martinez reviewed surveillance video and canvassed the area for witnesses.

Footage showed a white Toyota Corolla speeding southbound, crossing into oncoming lanes, and deliberately steering toward a skateboarder near the east curb. The driver made no attempt to brake, struck the victim, hit the curb, and fled without rendering aid. The victim hit the vehicle’s windshield.

Based on the video, statements, and evidence, investigators determined the act was an intentional assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect is in custody and charged with attempted murder. The victim remains in critical condition. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.

“I am proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our deputy personnel throughout this investigation.
